When the Pool is Dry, People Will Start Using Betscorum
Source: Pool and Spa Warehouse This is a short post on why Betscorum is not getting traction. Most of people are risk averse, they tend to avoid unknown risks. Only a few are risk lover. Risk averse means you prefer a path with lower return and lower risk than a path with higher return and higher risk. People tend to avoid loss $100 than win $100. And I think this is the problem with the Scorum economy. I think it's safe to assume that we are here to make money. There are ways to make money on Scorum; by betting and by blogging (writing and curating). And most of users, as expected, prefer the lower return but risk-free path; by blogging. Why bother risking your coins if you can blog and earn it risk-free? This is simple logic, yet we failed to realize this. Winter in crypto world is not the problem, low SCR price is not the problem. The problem is in the design. It doesn't give incentive for people to use Betscorum, all the incentives are in the blogging platform. Unless the reward pool is dry, people won't start using Betscorum to make money. Until then, people will keep accumulating coins. Maybe the two platforms are not meant to coexist. When the pool is dry and people are forced to bet their coins to earn more, that's when people are stop blogging and start betting. Just my two cents.
